Funny!!!
Too long to list....
It's far worse than that - they're well known for grooming unsuspecting folk online in an effort to forge some sort of relationship before finally making their move and boring someone witless!!!
Ban boring signatures!
To me there are 2 ways to go:
1: Hifi
2: B&O
Hifi is the never ending jungle.
B&O is what it is and that's it as always.
Over priced crap
Not all wine lovers are alcoholics and similarly not all audiophiles are possessed by audio systems.

?????
Flappo, did you post without reading the original link?

In other news, Steve Jobs is still dead...

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Oh the great Saturday night comedy. Monty Python at 10, SCTV at 11, and SNL at 1130. Get sick from laughing.

True, but many audiophiles that I've met have been obsessional in the extreme about HiFi 'sound', and seemingly delusional in their self assured ability to hear differences in audio 'sound', on the basis of their so called golden eared ability to hear things for which science has apparently yet to learn how to measure.
Meanwhile, all the research that has bee done with very conclusive evidence as regards placebo affect, expectation bias, and the whole field of psycho-acoustics gets conveniently ignored.
Let alone even the mechanics and methodology of proper controlled testing, such as Double Blind ABX testing, and the effects of comb filtering for example (read up on some of Ethan Winers work on this)
Hear is another link, describing audiophiles. It's also rather funny, and a bit sad, but I find it totally true from my own experience of the breed...lol

Enjoy
John...
Quoted from that article:
" Thank God I'm not an audiophile. Just like a pedophile, the word audiophile is defined as someone
with an unhealthy attraction or interest in something; in this case, it's audio equipment, but not music.
An audiophile and a music lover are two entirely different people"
That seems to me a bit too 'black or white-thinking' - there are quite a few 'audiophiles' that are deeply interested in music too:
Take this as an example:
www.computeraudiophile.com/content/534-pearl-jam-wrigley-field-2013/
www.computeraudiophile.com/content/540-spin-silver-platter/
And it makes me wonder (and ask):
do we have some 'beophiles' on the forum as well?
Greetings Millemissen
There is a tv - and there is a BV

Doesn't he always ?
He's on autopilot - it is either 'BnO =crap' or 'Apple rules' ... Sometimes both in one post.
Nothing new here
MartinW:It's very reassuring to hear that our Tonmeister listens to sound in terms of how it works in your average room rather than under test conditions, which would be as irrelevant as seeing how well a jet can fly in a wind tunnel!
Not only he.
They have had a 'listening panel' in Struer for decades.
People that work in different departments and are drawn in for listening sessions.

And there have been more than a few here prattling on at length about the alleged virtue of this or that ultra super duper high resolution HD audio format with no understanding of what you mention or basic sampling theory, etc. the infection can spread even to the Beo world.
... talking about...
blah-blah and photographs as needed
Excellent article - thanks for sharing.
A sense of humour was required to get the most out of it, for anyone who was wondering...
