How many people watch the back of the TV?  Sadly, Loewe appear done.

That indeed would complement the new line well!

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there

That is nice....

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Quite a few of those that have open plan living areas!  My in-laws have the TV between the sitting area and kitchen and something like that would look great replacing the look of their Samsung.

I like it! If it has a motorised stand you'd often see part of the back

Leather finishes available as well as wood!  At 6500£ for the 55 and fully customisable for each buyer giving a unique TV for your own environment.  'A full 'bespoke tailoring' service will be launched at the end of 2013, allowing customers to incorporate their own colours, materials and motifs to create a truly individual TV'.

Quite eyecatching I think.

Dave.

The wood 55" is 9.300 €. For that price I will go the bv11 way anytime, but it's true that the tv is well made.

I thought that LOEWE was dead not long ago, they make better products dead than alive !

That's quite an impressive tv, wonder if it will make it to Australia.

And one can recycle it as a tabletop after tv-use is over Wink

Looks nice!

Not sure it's something I would buy, but it's certainly different.

Bit of a BV10 clone though.

Let's hope the woodwork is perfect.

Definitely a product destined to wind up in a lot of high end modern homes that are open plan. I know people who, even if it was up against a window, would want it so that the view in from outside wasn't marred by nasty backs of gear. If my house were arranged that way I'd be all for something like this, but my TV is wall mounted, so letting the termites have a good view isn't that important. Stick out tongue

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad

I've seen these new loewe reference id tvs and they produce an amazing picture, I know a lot on here are not fans of loewe but this tv does have a very good picture, the build quality and finish look very high end to.

And to be really honest a lot of people say the new reference looks like a bv11 but i find the bv11 and 10 to look like the loewe R37 masterpiece from many years ago.

If B&O didn't exist I'd buy a Loewe. IMHO they're the second best TV out there

Imagine B&O would have proposed this wooden set..."outdated" or "old-fashioned" would have been some of the more polite descriptions. But as long as it is a Loewe, it's all fine and great and gorgeous etc. ...Hypocrisy all over the place...

I think it looks stunning. Not B&O, and not available in USA. :(

Are you dumb ? Bno just released a speaker with 19 lammelas of wood, and everyone liked it here. Im not a fan of it. Beolab 18 has a major flaw , if you placing the speaker towards a light source you can see the ugly black plastic body of BL18. If sun comes up you see the inside ,totally fail design to me, next to very high ALT lens , fail design as well, forget enyoing music while siting.

I don't agree with you at all.

Firstly, the wood on the TV looks excellent, it's a balanced design (even if a bit BV10 copied), it's not something that looks done in a haste. (Say an ALT on top of an icon)

Wood has been lusted after on this forum for years, why wouldn't we like it?

Wood has it's place, but not everywhere. Say wood on an BL5? Hell no! Wood on a BV9? Hell no! Wood on a completely new product designed from the beginning to be made of wood. HELL YEAH!
