Hello. Sorry if this is an often asked question - I've tried to use the search facility but didn't get the answers I wanted.
I've recently acquired a Beocenter 9000, which I'm using with some CX 50s. But when I downloaded the manual from here

in an attempt to tune the radio (I failed), I found on page 9 this
SPEAKERS 1 : 4 - pin DIN sockets for
- loudspeakers in the same room as the Beocneter, or
- the Bang and Olufsen Beolab Penta power amplifier / loudspeaker module, or
- the Bang and Olufsen Beolab 150 power amplifier
and on page 37
POWER AMPLIFIER
Use the phone sockets marked PRE. AMP. OUT - RIGHT for right channel, LEFT for left channel.
So - my question is, although I THOUGHT that this system could only power beovox speakers, can it in fact run Belab Pentas?

Obviously working, complete with displays. So - would Beolab 8000 also be compatable?

Beocenter 9000 has Speakerlink Connections, so do the Beolab Penta III.
The Beolab 8000 don't habe Speakerlink, but Powerlink.
There are/were Adapters, see here (archived Forum).
