So I've invested in a Beolab 14-4 system to upgrade the sound experience of my V1. And I'm not disappointed! It's an enormous boost in every way. I'm deffently going to watch some of my old movies again :)
I do have one problem though, that I'm not sure is a problem:
There is a constant hiss from all 4 satellites. Even when the system is configured to only use the front speakers, the rear ones still hiss. The hiss is only audible from about 0.5m from the speakers. Are they supposed to hiss?
It doesn't matter if the source is 2.0/2.1/5.1
Beovision Eclipse gen2 (GX) w/ floorstand, Beolab 14.2, 4 speaker Shape and ATV4/Chromecast.

Any idea what causes this?
Unplugging the Powerlink cable to the rear speakers doesn't do anything. So the Sub most be sending out some sort of signal regardless of the connected source.
Could there be a mains disturbance?

I could try changing power outlet when I get home.
What type of cable are you using to connect the sub-woofer to the speaker sockets on the V1? Where did you source the cable from?
It maybe something that Steve at Sounds heavenly can help you with.

Sub to sub/front to front/rear to rear using normal RJ45 PowerLink Cables.
That should be easy - these cables are available from any B&O dealer.

Im using 3x RJ45-RJ45 Powerlink cables bought from Steve. So it shouldn't be my cables.
Tried switching power outlet, with no change. Tried separating the power cables and signal cables. Still no change.
Running out of options here. I'll contact my dealer tomorrow.
i just had Beolab speakers installed yesterday, connected to a Beovision 11 55.
there was a loud buzz noise. it was solved by better grounding at the AC power wall socket.
Might be worth getting your earth/ground for your mains checked. Unusual to be loose at a wall socket.

Glad to hear that the cables weren't at fault and that you got the problem solved I'm always happy to help with any issues like this, sorry I didn't see the forum post sooner.....
Mains wiring can sometimes be the source of noise issues, although most often this is caused by other mains-powered devices nearby which can induce electrical noise into AV systems. Key items to check if you do get humming through your system include laptop chargers, low voltage lighting, air conditioning compressors, fridge/freezers and aquariums, as these can all produce electrical noise either via the mains wiring or through the air.

Bad grounds in a wall outlet are not as uncommon as you would think, especially in older houses and apartments.
