Until I got one! My first BeoGram!!!

A pristine, teak 1202. Not only is it fully working and 100% complete, but it has an SP12 cartridge! Very exciting.

Only two hiccups - the arm drops just outside the record. Testing revealed bad cables but those will be replaced in short order.

Cool

Thanks Søren. Yes I'm very VERY happy with it - a dream come true.

I can't wait to sit down and fine tune it once I get some spare time.

The BeoVirus is acting up again, seeing this nice looking BG, I came to think of my BM 901, they will go so nice together, but then I'm forced to find a pair of P 30s and my long wished reel to reel, will it ever end, I'm lost.

Jeff, Step - With comments like those, clearly it is undeniable how incredible these decks look! Big Smile I found myself just watching it spin on manual 33 without any record on! Simply beautiful.

Thanks mate! I have been buying vinyl here and there on ebay and just about every chance I get between classes here on campus. In fact, I have three new purchases in my book-bag now! Also, today I was gifted a collection of records from a friend, now all I do is have to truck it home! Today I also stopped in my local hi-fi shop and bought a record brush and cartridge force gauge. A pretty good start I think!

I have the hood, I just don't like looking at it! Laughing I would say it is in great condition but not on the same level as the deck itself. It is cloudy with scratches and marks but is fully complete with the logo at top dead center.

I'll get you a picture soon.

These covers can be made quite easily and not that expensive. Did that for my Beogram 6000 and Beolab amps (flatpanels).

Yes, I saw those that you made - they look great! I forgot to say earlier that I do like the character and would probably choose not to replace it. I'm going to leave it as is.

BUT! My BeoLab 5000s could use some new amp covers....

Green foil...Huh? But the 5000 displays are orange...Confused Please explain...

But if you find some green transparent foil -please tell where. I've wondered how my BeoCenter 2300 would look with green light on the CD instead of the dull white light...Hmm

Was expecting that remarkSmile  Will explain later this day in this thread as soon as they are finished!

It's just an ordinary green transparent glossy plastic foil (2 euro).

It had to be something that has been played for sure, before, on this type TT, It had to be music that Evan for sure will listen to, it had to be something that fits the year of production of this TT, It had to be something that I listened to during these years and are listening to today.

After a lot of listening and selections, it came to a final between The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street and Jimi Hendrix, Are You Experienced.

It came down to this one, after Purple Haze toned out. On the way, enjoy

OK - but I was looking for some self-adhesive transparent green foil (which I haven't found yet).
But offcourse I could just buy some ordinary plastic foil and fiddle with some double sided tape, like you did....Smile

By the way - I'm still waiting for your explanation about the 5000's and green foil...Wink Whistle

Can you imagine, got so many stuff that I can't find a proper pair of powerlink cables for my Beolab 3000 just to show the result of my covers.

As told before Steffen, I bought a pair of Beolab 3000 amps (sticker shows that on the back) with surprisingly green displays. The original cover however has a small window that does not  entirely show the first and last digit of the display. The window from a, as you probably know, Beolab 4500 (green display) differs in size comparing to the 3000 and 5000 Beolabs with orange display.

Hopefully I will find the cables tomorrow!
