Hello,

Can someone advise me about the following.

When using the FM tuner section of the Beomaster 3500 there is a fixed shift between the actual radio frequency and the value I have to display on the Beomaster 3500.

This fixed shift is 0.4 Mhz and is always to be added to the actual frequency.

Example: when I want to tune a radio station 87.8 Mhz, I have to key in 88.2 Mhz instead,

This happens on the whole FM band. Otherwise the FM tuner is working fine!

Thanks a lot for your comments and advise how to fix this.

Hello Alain,

Service manual BM4500/3500 page 7-3 shows setting of the display frequency offset

A bit complicated so read it for yourself Wink

Hello

Before I start the adjustment, the receiver must be in "Test Mode"? Correct?

Also it is not clear how to exit this "Test Mode"

Thank you for the feedback

yes - bridge testpins while powering on.

Just press standby --- next time switching on it is back in normal mode

It worked fine and the programmation remains as long as I do not plug out the BM 3500.

It happened I changed the location of the BM 3500 I have to plug out and in from and to the mains socket. And then everything lost I have to reprogram again the frequency shift and the different channels.

Is there something I missed?

Does it mean there is no memorisation during the plug out/in?

Thank you for your help and comments

If everything is gone on unplugging mains I would recommend to check the microcomputer's battery. They should measure some 3 Volts.

Don't remember exactly but I'm sure its a CR2032, CR2025 or something from this family.

They have solder pins and are not as easy to find like the standard button cells but they exist.

Good luck,

The battery was changed, I measured it before it was down 1V against 3V normally.

Also, I put it on a support, soldered in place of the battery, it fits exactly the holes. Therefore I used a battery without soldering pins, more easy to find.

Next time it will be just a matter of swapping. By the way, the reference of the battery is CR 2450, Sony is a possible manufacturer.

I forgot the most important it is working now! Thank you for you support.

Cheers

De rien Wink

And - good idea with the battery socket - if it fits: perfect!

Hello,

By the way and as we are around the micro, can you tell me how to source the 4500 sw.  The purpose is to implement the timer function on my 3500s.

Thanks

Alain
