I currently have a Beocentre 2300 with Beolab 2500 speakers in my living room and are looking at a Beocenter 9300 which has been offered to me at £475.00.  I am contemplating buying this with speakers for another room. My question is would it be worth buying the 9300

Condition is everything. £475.00 is quite high IMO if it's from a private individual. From a reseller with a warranty it's an OK price. If it is a private sale I'd personally source one off ebay that you can collect in person.

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Having looked into it a bit more I guess it is a fair price - as long as it's scratch free. It depends if you just want to plug in a play or have the time to source one that might need a little repair like THIS ONE. Half an hours attention and it will be as good as new. Appears to have it's original packaging as well.

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Buy it!  I think they are nicer to use than the upright models.  Just make sure it is UNMARKED and works like new!!  Enjoy!  Nice piece for the sideboard!  Still have mine, and an upright with 2500's.  Couldn't sell either!  Wink  I like the 9500/9300 better than the BS9000.  I had a white BS9000 and matching beolab 3's, which looked very sexy, but give me the retro stuff any day I say.  The BS9000 was awkward to use on a table stand.  The 9300 is beautiful to use (and rarer - everyone has seen or got a BS9000) and looks great with 8000's (which IMHO are a much better all round speaker than the 3's - I think they are lacking in mid range personally, even though the top end is beautifully crisp).  Personal choice I guess.  There is another 9300 on UK ebay now that is mint for 450 or offer......  So now you can go hunting for the best one!!  Good Luck!!

Of course, by all means buy it, but what you will be buying is the same as your 2300 but with a cassette deck. If that is what you want, great.

The 2300 has not so many bling bling leds as the 9300Smile
