Hi all,

It has been a long time since I visited this nice place :)

I have some problems and I thought that the best place to find answer must be here.

I have a Beosound 5 connected to a BV10-46. All speakers connected to BV and BS5 is connected to BV10.

The last months the BS5 has stopped to communicate with the tv.
When I press CD/ radio nothing happens. If I start the BS5 on the panel it starts but does not start the system, speakers etc.
If I restart the Beosound5 it usually works again, but not always,  some times I have to restart Beosound5 two times. Then it works for a day or so. Sometimes a week, then they stop communicate again.. But honestly it is not intended to be restarted every other day..

My wife did not like the Beosound5 from the start, no she hates it, and honestly Im pretty sick of this sh*t that always have some problems..

Does anyone have the slightest idea of what and where the problem is?

There can be a problem with the software version of the masterlink pcb in the BeVision 10. Contact your dealer for a software update. It could be the problem

Sorry to hear about your bad luck with your setup.

What I don`t understand is, why you are blaming your BS5 and are clearly talking  about a Masterlink problem at the same time...(?)

I had a similar problem with my BS5 and a BV10-32 in a link room. No problem with my BV7 in the main room at all.

Masterlink SW of my BV10 was updated, but didn`t really help, then Masterlink module was changed, and everything is working again.

Good luck.

Stefan

It was the dealer who said that it might be the BS5. Today I had a talk to another person at my dealer. He was under the impression that it could be the Mastercontrol unit in the BV10 that was faulty.

So in the beginning of december the service guy will come and change the part so we can start litening to music again..

Yesterday we got a software update of our tv, now it works, if the problem comes back he will change the master link unit in the tv.

The same problem came back..

Now we have changed the ML module, the repairguy did it while the tv was on the wall.

Now it works, we will see for how long time :)

He also said that it can be the ML Cable, so we checked it aswell - no problem with thatone.
