I've had some pretty uselessly packaged items from sellers in my time (a Beogram 5000 in a flimsy box packed with a dozen empty toilet roll tubes is one that springs to mind), but today I received my best ever not really -packaged ebay purchase. I bought a touch screen mobile phone from a guy in N. Ireland & it arrived in.............. an envelope......... just a paper A5 envelope.......... Needless to say it is completely wrecked, I had to laugh really.

Hope you didn't pay too much for it... but look on the bright side: it was packaged! He could've just keyed in your address and stuck a stamp on the backside

Wasn't it Lee who had this experiment with sending an MXsomething TV just by putting a sticker on it - and it arrived safely...?

That's exactly what he did hemenx & you're right, it arrived perfect.

It was a 28" MX/MS series Beovision I believe so not a lightweight thing.

At least you didn't have second thoughts about touching it. Some time ago I bought an phone off ebay - it arrived stuffed in an obviously used & unwashed sock. That was all there was, the phone was in the sock and the sock was in an paper envelope.

Surprisingly enough, the phone was fine. I still was disgusted. Unsure

I had the same experience once. I bought 2 Nokia 8910s, (one black, one brown) from a guy, I believe it was from England, who described them both as working, but the black one needed a new cover, as it was dented.

I received them both in a normal A5 envelope. They weren't wrapped in anything, and none of them worked. That was actually the last time I ever used eBay.
