Hi all
Since my local dealer has closed down and for other reasons that basically mean I would need to spend thousands to keep video distribution and them even ore to implement a home automation system with a ML gateway.
I have started looking at Control 4 and so far it seems excellent apart from the dealer only install which I must say is poor for those of us who enjoy the programming etc.
I have spent a great deal of time mulling over idea's and different options and I just cannot get past two things.
My beovision 7 is absolutely amazing to look at and demands a presence where it stands tall and superior. Then there is my lab 9's next to it that I also love to bits.
My questions are:
Does anyone know of another tv that has such a room presence, most modern tv's look light and plastic.
Does anyone know of some speakers that might look / sound as good as the 9's
Come to think of it I would miss my beo4 too :)

I have replaced my BeoVision 7-40 MK5 with a Panasonic TXL42DT65B, Denon AVR-2313, B&W MT-50D package and Control4 HC-250 with SR-250 remote along with iPad/iPhone app (which I never use) and whilst I can programme it (I work for a Control4 dealer) I never have done since I got it as I am Mac only at home and the software is PC only.
I have to say whilst the BeoVision 7-40 was great, I don't miss it and from selling it I was able to buy all that and put a deposit down for a car! Only thing is the sound isn't as good and of course if you have BeoLab 9's you would need something slightly more - although you could still plug them into an AVR with pre-outs. If not then look at the B&W CM9.
Sounds excellent, I need to find a showroom or something so I can see it in action.
i need to be able to send video to the kitchen and bedroom but maybe not at the beginning. I also want to be able to have music all over the house like I do now.
i think for me it's a hc-800 from the start as there are so many things to control.
i cannot get my head around it all at the moment as I like to understand everything and the not allowed DIY upsets me a little as I want to be able to administer my own system.
I don't want to fork out for a matrix just yet so perhaps a avr with two hdmi like the demon would do for my tv and Beemer.
I already have cm9's in my music room.
so many things to consider.
does your tv have an aluminium stand?
This is hard work.
HI Seanie,
Why not having a look to the Loewe Reference ID? (http://www.golfbest24.de/lifestyle/items/loewe-reference-id-individualisierung-bis-zum-unikat) Iike the design and the build quality is really excellent. I don't own this one but another Loewe and you can send the video recorded one the internal HD to another Loewe TV through wifi. The '3D orchestra' wireless speaker system is quite good sounding with a system close to the B&O acoustic lenses but 360°. Last but not least : the multiroom system to listen to music everywhere with wifi or through the 'electrical domestic power cables transmission' (sorry I don't know how this is called in english)...
