Most likely rare. not as beautiful, probably not as good, but it sure would be cool to have.
Anyone seen one of these in reality ?.

At least they tried...Wink

It's ugly compared to a B&O.
But it's better looking than most other turntables...Whistle

It looks like a Beogram had a ménage a trois with a Technics SL1200 and a Rabco tone arm.

Chartz, I agree,

I would asume they manufactored just a small series, and how many have survived ? , and how may would there be outside Russia. most likely very few.

spareparts, would asume not a chance......

So most likely a Beogram 4000 was once upon a time smuggled out of a western country into Soviet for copying. Illigal during agreed copyright and pattern agreement in the west, but they did what they wanted behind the ironwall.

An very odd collectors item. A run stone teeling the history of the complicated past.

They did a lot of interesting tech during the soviet period, but as asusal with only websites in that impossible language..Russia will remain the big secret area of the planet Tellus.

Though ,the beauty of Beogram 4000 cannot be copyied.

Pravda says the Beograms are all capitalist ripoffs of this wonderful, unique Soviet design. Izvestia comments that these ripoff turntables are produced using slave labor of downtrodden proletariats yearning for the workers paradise of the Soviet state. Stalin had all turntables shot for counter revolutionary revolutions at party disapproved speeds, and because if you play records backwards they say things like Lenin is dead and other counter revolutionary propaganda.

  1. Effete is a disapproving term meaning decadent and self- indulgent, even useless. The stereotype of the rugged Westerner is just as false as ...
