My Beocenter 7002 needs the 2 "Idle current Trimmers" changing, Seems a common fault on many of the beo amps. Should I change them for the same skeleton trimmers or are better replacements available?
Thanks, John.
Also thank you Martin for all your help in getting this set working.
I'm using these capsuled ones (PIHER PT10L Series)

I use Piher trimmers which are enclosed and available in identical values and spacing.

I use the Piher trimmers too but also other types. The original trimmers lasted 20+ years and so will the new ones so that'll be fine. The Piher seems to be good quality but, even if they are "closed" to some extent, they are not hermeticallysealed so they will still degrade and, unlike the skeleton types, you actually cannot tell the condition, oxidation etc.by looking at them. But they'll be fine for your Beocenter. Probably slightly better than the original ones.

Thanks Guys, I just have to find a UK based supplyer.

Thank you Step1, but computer says 1 in stock in Hull and I need 6 It looks like I would have to travel to 6 major Towns around Yorkshire to get enough. I hope someone knows of another supplier.
Bloody useless aren't they lol. Let me know what values you want I might have some spare...
I normally either order from an American supplier with a load of other stuff once in a while (free shipping over £50) or order from them a large quantity of trimmers to get the free postage.
Hi Step1 Thanks, All 250R If you had 2 that would get one Beocenter 7002 set working. And I will contact Mxxxxx to find out lead time on another 4 all 250R. Please Pm me re cost if you can find any. I have never had any Beo equipment before and in the space of one month I have got a Beocenter 7000, 2x 7002 plus tape recorder, CD player oh and a 1900 and 3300. All from different places and a story behind each.
I use these

Hi Soren, Thanks but I would like to find an English supplyer. I am able to get 220R presets from many places. The set is a Beocenter 7002 and it is 3R224) "idle curent set" anyone know why I could not use 220r instead of the 250r? The resistor that is working is set and measures 100r "where it is set at" and the slider is linked to one end of the carbon track.
Would 220r replace 250r ?
Thanks for looking John.
220 Ohm trimmers will be fine in this circuit.
Thank you Martin for your prompt reply, and with what I wanted to hear.
Best wishes, John.
