I recently upgraded beosystem 1 with beosystem 3 which I'm trying to connect to wii. wii only has composite output red/white and yellow for video. I connected wii to BS3 AV6 and I set to V.AUX. in BS3 settings. Once I swith input to V.AUX I can hear the sound from wii but no picture, strangely no BS3 overlay menu's are available unless I turn wii off.Can anyone tell me what I may be doing wrong?ThanksDavid

You should get a Wii Component Cable - much better picture Quality!
Will work with Beosystem 3 much easiert, I suppose...

As Davis described, it's the correct way to connect.
Not the best videoresult, but it works.
The yellow videoconnector should be connected to the video in socket. Same situation here, and it works.
AV6 or AV4 are suitable for the Wii.
Beobuddy: Not the best videoresult, but it works.
That is why you should get a component cable...

You're totally correct, but you know, I don't give a xxxxx
All the graphics are so below average.... I also have a PS3, that's a diferent league. That's where the hdmi cable has a big advantage.
Beside, the Wii is for the kids, They don't bother the picture quality.

maybe a bit offtopic, but....
...imo - the only way to teach children to worship/bother about good quality, is to show them how good quality looks.
Therefore - get a Wii Component Cable.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
These are my thought exactly!
I went into connections menu and modified them: HDMI=NO, VGA=NO
I agree that I still should get component cable and replace composite - even if its slightly better in picture quality - it's worth it. Since HD is out I practically refuse to watch anything in lower resolution. I have PS3 which I use to watch Netfilx for games but Wii is strictly for kids.Tried purchasing component cables today but quickly gave up: today is Black Friday in US, ridicules lines everywere, I'll wait for the weekend. I will report the progress after replacing cables. Thanks for the input everybody.David

I have to put here a little nuance. I don't care about the picture quality as mentioned and my kids think the same as only the gameplay counts. We have here the SD Wii.
As for movies it is a different story. My kids also see the difference when they watch something like " Tinkerbell" with all it's details. I even tend to buy a BluRay version of a movie or concert instead of watching a ripped X264 version. Both HD, but with noticeable differences.
Millemissen: Therefore - get a Wii Component Cable.
I think I might have one laying around somewhere.
But another irritating thing about the Wii is the amount of cables it comes with. Add a dockingstation for the rechargeable remotes and a componentcable extra....
It is here always the same. They play a few hours once and a while and after that they won't touch it for a longer period. But when I start to remove the Wii then suddenly they feel the need of playing again..
