Can someone explain to me the simple option of how to play music by an artist in the library and the Beosound not go into pause mode after playinga track when selecting a specific artist.

I have read the "B & O guide which does not seem to refer to playing music by an artist or I am some pages missing.

Thanks

Make sure you have MOTS enabled, and that the last song is less than 15 minutes. One of the software upgrades allowed one to disable MOTS.  Once disabled, it will pause at the end of a "playlist" (album or artist).  Also, there is (maybe was) a limit to the length of a song that is cataloged by the MOTS algorithm.  Any song longer than the limit will pause after playing.  I seem to remember that this restriction was removed or relaxed, but I recently ran into the bs5 pausing after playing a long song so maybe it is still there.

Also, if this is a new machine or the last song was recently added, then it is possible that MOTS hasn't analyzed it yet.  In this case, the problem will resolve itself.

SteelRain-I've experienced the same issue when trying to play one CD (artist) the BS5 goes into pause mode after playing one track. Here's what I found that works for me. Select your artist as you do now, once the first track starts playing move your pointer to the top of the screen, this takes you into Player Mode. Once there hit the "GO" button again. The track will start over but should also show you all the other available tracks on that CD. From there the BS5 should play each track in order. Use forward & back buttons as needed to "skip" to the tracks you want to hear or to repeat a song, or simply let the tracks play in sequence till the last track is played. The player will then enter pause mode. Just use the GO button again to restart play if you wish.  I don't know if you have MOTS enabled? I have mine turned off right now so that may make difference whether it's off or on. Hope this helps? Let me know if this works for you.

Hi SteelRain,

if your question is 'how to play the whole album', just start from 'Albums' or Covers' mode instead of 'Artists'.
