I got this question today and despite the orange, yellow and green displays what are the differences between the Beolab Penta speakers in general?
Amps.
Too long to list....
The major difference is that Mk 1 do not have Powerlink sockets. Officially the Mk 2 & 3 have 200W amplifiers but the difference is negligible. I have Mk 3s which are still wonderful.
Peter
MK 1 has yellow display
MK 2 has orange display
Mk 3 has green display
Am I right?
Also the filters.
The mk1 has to most parts om the filters, where the mk3 has the least...
The mk3 are sold with 2 different green displays. The lastest version has a bit smaller digits and wider located between each digit.
The passive part from the MK1 and MK2 have easy to use srews underneath, where the mk3 has a kind of "solderlips"
The latest displaycover can't be used on earlier versions.
Hi Beobuddy,
perhaps you can help:
i have the opportunity to purchase a pair of Beolab MK2 amps. Can I use those on my Beolab Penta mk1 ??.
thank you so much for your advice🤗
