Hi I have a beogram 6006 which when play is pressed it goes to the first track and plays fine. The problem is it won't allow manual cueing (<<,>>). Any ideas?suggestions would be great.

Thanks chris

Welcome to Beoworld !

There is a small lamp associated with the cueing buttons << / >>.
It sits in a closed housing right behind the buttons. I suggest you check this
and the connections to the panel.

Grab the uppermost edge of the operation panel with your fingertips and pry it upwards about 3-4 mm.
Then slide it up towards the rear of the Beogram and off.

Hi i checked the lamp and you were spot on thanks,it looks like the cueing works with light dependent resistors ,and the bulb isnt working thanks.

But when i put it back together and press the play button the turntable starts and the tonearm moves in about 10 mm and stays in this position, spinning but unresponsive when any buttons are pressed, have you seen this before.

Thanks chris

Sounds like another symptom related to the same fault.
Note there are some adjustments to make after replacing the lamp.
The lamp is a silly spec'd one if I remember correctly.
I have correct lamps in the drawer.

Well Chris,
As stated above, I have correct lamps in the drawer.
And I'm also the guy, who made the cap kit.

PM me
(or google around a bit if you prefer).

Good afternoon, I have just yesterday been given a Beogram 6006 and have exactly the same issue of the record playing ok, but the left and right buttons not working to move across the record.

Not looked for this magic bulb yet, but if it is the problem, can i still purchase the required parts from you, (I am based in the UK)?

Sorry to be a bothering you on another matter, (this is all a bit new for me), but with the 6006 is a Beosystem 3300 and Beovox S45 speakers, however when connected, although the volume is ok for a small dining room, the volume has to be towards the maximum and I am getting quite a lot of distortion/feedback.

I have looked on the internet and mention is made of a Pre-Amp sometimes being required, but do you know if this is the case with the system I have indicated?

Regards,

Martin.

A very tinny, low volume and screeching sound is the usual symptom of a missing RIAA preamplifier.
The Beomaster 3300 should have a RIAA preamplifier built-in, - maybe it has been bypassed?

Parts are still available, PM me!

Good morning Martin,

I have found this old message where you responded to a member "Chris" that you had some lamps for a Beogram 6006 turntable, suitable to solve an issue where the << >> buttons no longer work, such that I cannot skip tracks when playing an album.

The lamp in question is an 18 volt, 30 mA device, which appears not to be a standard item.

I have tried lamps of different voltages that I have available and unfortunately they do not work.

Although your original post was several years ago, do you still have such lamps available for me to purchase?

With best regards,

Martin Hill.

Hello again.

Hopefully you have received my PM, but just for a bit more information, (not that you probably need it Smile), I believe the part number is 8230068.

Have a good evening,

Martin Hill
