How do I replace the bulb of the stereo indicator on my Beomaster 4000? Unlike on the 3000/3000-2, once I have removed the wooden case I still cannot see how to remove the lampholder to fit new a bulb. If I unscrew the bolt directly beneath the indicator, it releases the green acrylic part but I still cannot then withdraw this out of its position.
Help please!
Exactly the same as in the Beomaster 3000. Not original if any different. The lamp sits in a wedge type socket and the socket is pushed onto a flat piece (paddle) of chassis metal.Pull the lamp socket back into the Beomaster, take out the lamp, fit a new and push the socket back onto the paddle.

I steal the thread for a moment: were can I find a "new" socket? Its the same typ of socket in Beolab 5000 (5303), right? Does anybody know were to find a replacement for my broken Beolab socket?

Beolab 5000 uses the same push-on principle but with somewhat larger, threaded E10 sockets rather than the wedge type.I may be able to supply some good used sockets if you need. PM me.
Do not hit me now, but how do I send a PM?
