As we reach the end of 2013 (and how quickly has it gone?!!) I'd like to just emphasise how grateful I am to the good people who visit BeoWorld and contribute to this superb website which I'm proud to put my name to - as are the whole moderating team.
It's been a great year here and we've all had great fun. Your posts have always been informative, interesting and engaging - and that's what keeps people coming back...
Our membership numbers have kept on growing and growing at an ever faster rate, and to our surprise have grown even faster this year than ever before despite the brand sales being in decline. Posts are up, threads are up, views are up, page hits are up - and in general the site just keeps growing and growing... and it's all thanks to YOU - our members who make the site what it is.
Personally, as a member of this site since the early days, I'm very proud to see how BeoWorld has changed, morphed, expanded and adapted to the ever increasing membership and wider variety of questions and discussions thanks to the technological advancement of B&O and the whole in-home Audio Visual market in general. Things have changed so quickly it's hard to imagine that a BeoVision Avant was cutting edge in early 2005. From B&O's first CRT in 1950 and then development for over 60 plus years to 720p, 1080p and now looking at the future of 4K from the Avant CRT in the space of eight short years really takes your breath away...
I must admit it sometimes makes my head spin how far and fast things are changing, but with you people on hand to explain how it all works in a friendly, approachable and knowledgable manner it makes it easy for everyone visiting to get a grasp of the way things are going. It's a credit to all of you how friendly our membership is.
So, from myself personally and on behalf of the whole moderating team, a very Merry Christmas to each and every one of our BeoWorld Members. You're a fantastic bunch of people who I'm proud to know and be associated with.
Merry Christmas and Health, Wealth and Happiness for 2014 to each and every one of you.
