Well, its christmas eve and I have a problem with one of my Beolab 1 speakers.

1. The working speaker works when plugged into any of the besound ports, this tells me it not the besound port.

2. I have swapped the cable on the speaker that is not working and still no sound.

3. The speaker in question has the red standby power light on all the time and does not switch to green.

Does anyone have any suggestions:

Cheers

Peter

Hi Peter,

- did you leave the defective speaker with the power cord unplugged for e.g. 15min and plug the cord in after that time? Does it react to s.th.?
- is the switch underneath the speaker accidently set to "line"?

If you checked these items I think you need a B&O dealer that can repair those babies of if you or a friend of you has knowledge in electronics, you can download the service manual of the speaker and try to repair it yourself.

That's a big benefit of Beoworld gold membership: You get access to all availabe service manuals from B&O!

Never a good time for one of these beauts to let you down. Not the sort of speaker you can accidentally set to line either. Where are you based and perhaps someone can suggest a local repair "person "

I have just had the same issue with my Beolab 1, it was around $670AU to replace a main circuit board, this was at B&O service. There was also an extra $180 for a blown tweeter too..
