Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what could be wrong with my Beocenter 4000 I was listening to it this morning all was fine, I changed one of the fm presets and pushed the popup part back down that lives under the chrome flap on the top of the unit  it was working  fine and sounded great then I changed it into Tape mode and now I am not getting any sound from Left/Right channels on set 1 or set 2 of speakers. Just wondering if anyone can help we out find the issue.

Many Thanks,

Lewis

Switching back to radio, everything is fine ?

My re-capped M75 are my precious diamonds.

Replace the board mounted capacitors on the power supply regulator module.

Hi, thanks for the fast reply, I have had another go with it and it switched on first time with no problems but then it was on for about 15 mins and started to get a loud hum on FM then on the tape function it started to sound distorted and the heat sink was running quite hot and its lost its sound again, its really odd.

Replace the board mounted capacitors on the power supply regulator module.
AND replace idle current trimmers on the two output stage modules and readjust.
Begin with the one with the highest idle current.
