I have a beosound century that has done me proud for a number of years now. However I recently moved to a bigger place and need to increase the number of speakers or get a line out so I can put it through another amplifier (don't think it has a headphone socket).
anybody got any ideas? It would be a shame to have to replace it as it is a great machine....
AUX is input only but there is a mini headphone socket:
Headphones
Headphone socket
The headphone socket is placed on the back of
BeoSound Century, as illustrated to the left.
Once you connect your headphones to BeoSound
Century, the sound from the built-in BeoSound
Century speakers is muted. The sound from the
speakers is then demuted when you disconnect
your headphones.
Dave.
Or upgrade to a Beosound ouverture/3000/3200. More easy to ditribute the sound via ML or powerlink (volume controlled line out)
The output for the headphones isn't the best solution and you will up with a set up which probably does not satisfy you.
Was rather hoping to keep the current system
isnt there some way of taking the back off and connecting up some additional speaker cables?
Sounds like you need to use the Century in a sensible place and upgrade to another system for your bigger room as Beobuddy says. I wouldn't mess with the Century.
It must be a big room as my Century can play plenty loud enough in my large kitchen! If you need another amp, then you may as well go the whole hog and buy something like a 3000/3200.
