What actually is a Beosystem 4? I have seen and read the website but don't fully understand it. Is it a Beosound 5 without an interface? Or a NAS Hard Drive?

Beosound 8, Beotime, Beocom 4, Beo 5, Lutron Rania, MacBook 15" (Mid 2015), iPad Pro, iPhone 6S, B&O Play H3, Beolit 12, Form 2, A8 Headphones, B&O Play A1, B&O Essence

It's a kind of black box. A video-Audio engine. The newer version of the system 3. The latter was mounted behind the BV9 or placed in a cabinet when used with the BV4 or BV12.

A stripped version of the BS3 was also available in the BV7 mk3 or higher.

It's the heart of the system. Look here: http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=863

The beosystem 4 is more based on the net function and all analog (scarts, RGD or Component phono jackets) inputs are gone. Probably also the best scalerboard to process the SD images up to HD.

There are more differences to mention, but you'll get the idea.

...and the basis for the BeoPlay V1, the BV11, the BV12NG and future BV's.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
