Que..games are just for kids and teenagers.

Computer games sales now make more revenue than all CD/DVD/MP3, Hollywood and Bollywood combined, and are largely aimed at the 15+ age group.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Flappo:

Apparently it suffers from severe picture lag and is useless for gaming. I think this is a missed opportunity for its target market.

I dont care about that, honestly I prefer that they focus on good video enhancements before ultra low lag. But I do think they can make it faster with new software udates. It is just released and probably needs a bit of fine tuning :)

Maybe games where 180ms input lag makes a huge difference in your ranking are more for teenagers...

I must add that this guy has not been to the menu where you can set "game mode". Its on every modern Beovision, and as stated in the user's manuals, it should make the signal more straight, giving less input lag.

Why not read the article before posting this sort of assertion?

Right ... these guys did apply the game mode of course ... and it got them to 167ms.

No big deal for me ... but sure worth a note in a professional review.

Best regards

Has anyone got any information about the analog video connector. From what I Have seen it looks like a mini DIN Connect with a lot of pins.

Is there an adapter available from B&O and what connecters does it have?

Alternativly does anyone have a pinout of the mini DIN?

Just got the Beoplay V1 but it seems like no one knows anything about how to connect an analog source to the TV's proprietary 9 pin mini DIN connector. I have asked two dealers about it and they knew nothing. Neither did the technician who delivered the TV.

Anyone has any idea about it or is analog sources just a dead chapter?

Has anyone seen a service manual (its not on this site yet). Maybe there is some info about it. If just I knew the pinput of the connector I could easily make an adapter myself.

Both of the dealers in the U.S. I know told me that they were waiting for the plugs and would make adapters themselves if necessary. Seems a big container here with V1's, stands, etc., etc. has been tied up in customs for quite a while. Not a dead issue at all but no one has had a chance to play with all the possibilities as of yet.

I'll likely buy one of these myself if the output from my CD7000, BG4002 and FM through my BM7000 can be conveniently used without any loss of sound quality. My main interest in the V1 is the 5.1 processor. That panel had better be impressive too as I have to downsize from a decent 42"!

You'll need the pigtail adapters from RJ45 to PL as well of course.

Hi,

I've generally found that the easiest way to get an analogue source into the V1 at the best quality is to use a SCART to HDMI converter and upscaler, which I've provided to a few of the dealers here in UK.  The PL to RJ 45 adapters are proving to be very popular, as these just clip onto your existing Powerlink cables to convert any Beolab speakers to work with the V1 (or BeoVision 12).

I took the decision to build the adapters as "fully-wired" mk.2 versions and now I'm glad that I did, as I'm finding many customers are changing from older BeoVision MX and Avant TVs, so their Penta and Beolab 3000/5000 speakers now work perfectly with the V1 without any re-wiring needed!

If you need any assistance with cabling or converters, please feel free to ask and I will be happy to help.

Kind regards, Steve.

Steve.

Thanks for the inputs. I have allready made the rj45 to PL adapters myself ( also in the Full wired version so the work with my mcl2p for my sub).

I have considered an upscaler but I just like it to be as simple as possible without to many boxes that needs to plug in now that the TV actually has the possibilty to connect analog devices
