scognamiglio1969: The first 32" b8 was really bad! The 40" was good. The Samsung is good with a bluray but with the other signals are awful.

Things move on daily - a quote from Whathifi on the latest E8000 series Samsungs -
Any discussion of the Samsung’s Smart TV capability needs to start with the startling level of picture quality it is able to wring from the most marginal of sources. It’s one thing to make the likes of the BBC’s iPlayer, with its 1280 x 720 resolution, look clean, shiny and secure; it’s quite another to scrub the frankly hopeless quality of YouTube (accessed via the 8000’s bright, clear web browser) up to something that’s watchable even on a 55in TV.
Clean, unblocky and relative stable with motion, the Samsung’s far and away the best TV we’ve ever seen when it comes to tarting up inferior quality video content.
Ban boring signatures!
I know I'm not the target for this product. I have a house full of Masterlinked B&O.
I think I like the pictures I have seen.
I cannot buy anything at this price that will not integrate with the rest of B&O
I also cannot understand why it's not possible to design an Optional ML module that will do the trick. Now I've spent a ton of money on the TV, and I'll have to spend more money on the ML.
As it is, I'll just have to ignore V1 and go directly to BV10. If you remember, the BV8 had an optional ML module.

The BV8 was also a BeoVision, under the Bang & Olufsen brand. This is a TV sold under the B&O Play brand, there will never be master link.
How many people who buy this will ever need master link, compared to the cost of developing the module an associated software? I would guess its ability to stream music and video is sufficient for nearly all buyers.
The more I read this thread the more grateful I am for sticking with the Avant. It is still wonderful after all of these years.
Sticking with avant? That's old fashion tgt365
Like I said: I'm not the in the target demographic for this product. That was my opening point.
So I'll stick with Beovisions of which I have two, and the Avant, of which I have one. I get it. I was making a different point.
My opinion does not matter to B&O since they want customers with $500,000 custom installs, but I also don't have to agree with everything that they do. I was simply offering my humble opinion.
I still love the products, and the brand. I think this pathology is regularly identified by professionals as an addiction.
Beoworld app with direct photo upload and emoticons.
I quite like the idea of it being a TV and hifi in one. The design has to grow on me, but I'm warming up to this.

@PhilLondon
Maybe because there are no tweeters for the high frequency range.
Sounds really exciting
PhilLondon:The design is interesting but is very different from Beovisions. And very different from any TV out there.
Please describe it. So far we have only seen V1 from the front.
Was it on the floor stand that was shown on the leaked pictures? and does it look any better in the flesh.
Beoplay A2
New pictures?!
scognamiglio1969:New pictures?!
I predict some will be plastered all over this forum in 2-3 days...

PhilLondon: the front metal panel has been folded on the top, left, right and bottom, to form the back sides
sounds like origami
we should start a rumour it was manufactured in Japan
and then run away from the forum for at least a month
BeoNut since '75
I have now seen the back version in 32 and 40 inch. It is in fact a sightly pearly charcoal. It is really beautiful in reality. Would fit a young person's flat very well.
Thank god i just bought a 10
I'm pleased B&O are returning to a traditional price point, and i will wait to see it in the flesh, but Beovision 8 all is forgiven.
Still get one though
Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
Double post.
Very Nice.

It starts to grow on me. Not to keen on the Ir eye and the speaker cover, at least on the photo. Will have to look at it in the flesh of coures. Would be interesting to see the difference in side profile for the 32'' and 40''. I reckon they have the same thickness?
It definately looks alot better in black i hate the stand but overall i much prefer it in that colour than in white, thanks also for posting the pics.
Very cool Phil,
Thanks a lot.
Can't wait to see it in flesh.
Seems to be very original...
Will there be a simple table stand for the tv where you can put it on an av cabinet or are they all going to be designed like that?
beocool:Not to keen on the Ir eye
The IR eye is more discreet on the back version of course, but very visible on the white version. The paint seems of a better quality in the Black version as well.
Optional speaker cover will allow you to add colour, like for the BV10, but they are not necessary. Also, it was said on one of the thread you could easily customise it with your own fabric! An interesting idea to improve the WAF!
Come on now, if you'd seen a picture of this TV by any of the other manufacturers, most of you would be criticising its mediocre/boring looks. As it's B&O though you're pleased with it. Be honest - it's boring and very, very average in looks.
No logo ?
Even a very small BeoPlay V1 on the front side ?

Philippe - many thanks for the excellent photos - May the Beoworld Gods award you tonight with the Prize you are wishing for
The worst IR eye has got to be on my white BV8 ... it looks like it was dropped and chip knocked off the corner
Never too sure about the wives' choices of speaker fabric ........remember those red speakers ! ........ but I absolutely agree the flexibility will help
I wonder when we will see some album art prints for the TVs
Or maybe I could persuade my son to sell game level renditions for the younger market
There is a logo on the front i can can see it, in the center it says B&0
Thanks Markiedee, you've got goodeyes !
yep my optician told me on a recent eye test that i got better than 20/20 vision.
What are those white rounds on the speaker fronts?
koning i wondered what they were myself... the design still isn't for me but in black it does look better than the white i wonder if it still runs on the visionclear picture optimisation.
The white rounds are the speakers.
We can see it because of the flash of the camera. In normal viewing conditions, they are invisible, hidden behind the fret.
From my perspective, and from looking at Phil's photos, it looks like a prototype to me (it isn't, clearly), rather than the finished model.
Looks reasonable (from those photos), but I'm indifferent to it at the moment. Hopefully it looks better without the wire frame.
Steph: Thanks Markiedee, you've got goodeyes !
No. If you click the images, you can then zoom in and the logo is much more clear.
