My grandchildren visited & now my BS3 is not responding to the Beo4 signals.  I'd appreciate some pointers from our knowledgeable members in this forum.

i have tried disconnecting the power to the BS3 to try to reset it but to no avail.  I'm in western Vanada & the only service tech the local dealer relies on is very busy & it usually takes quite a while before I get to talk to him.

specifically I hope I can get some ideas on how to find information on diagnosing the beo4 and the BS3.to locate the problem, which can be the beo4 inadvertently got re-programmed by my grandchildren, or the BS3 got stuck somehow because it didn't shut down properly.  I checked the Beo4 & it is transmitting signals.Signals but the IR sensor doesn't blink or do anything except for the red standby light on continuously.  Can someone tell me whether the bs3 has any standby light indicating it's on & also whether the power cord is polarized (the cord that came from the dealer does not have the Square-round ends which would only allow the cord to be connected one way?

I have the BS3 controlling a Panasonic Plasma TV and the inputs are my cable TV STB, Oppo blue-ray player, PC via HDMI, & also Sonos.  The audio outputs are through Powerlink to BL7-2 center, BL5 fronts & BL3 rear.  The system was set up by the B&O Tech 2 yrs ago & it has been relatively trouble free, except for the occasional resetting through disconnecting the input power into the BS3 when some buttons were randomly pressed on the Beo4 remote by friends & grandchildren.  This time around disconnecting/reconnecting the power couldn't solve the issue.

The red IR light doesn't blink when I pressed the Beo4.  I don't know if this is normal.  I have new batteries put into the Beo4 & I looked through my smartphone's camera & verified that signals are being transmitted.  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry that I have inadvertently posted this question twice.  I typed the question using my iPad & when I pressed POST nothing happened for the next 5 seconds or so.  I then press POST again.  A message appeared, saying "the webmaster had stopped this duplicate post" & I thought all was fine.  I apologize for this duplication.
