B&O mention the receiver now on the website and it was also mentioned in a pressrelese on the company website: http://www.bang-olufsen.com/en/the-company/press

Price for the receiver is quoted at: DKK 1.495 / €195 / $265 / £165. Should be available during February.

Has anyone seen the receiver? Assume it has to be very small and discrete to make sense.

/C

Like this.

I see. Are they available in white? Downside is that two cords from mains are required.

No idea about the colours, but since the transmitter is in white one would assume that the receiver would be available in same colour choices.

It's black because it's assumed it will be on a floor or placed behind a speaker. You wouldn't want a white box behind the speaker as it would stand out more. Same thing with white on the floor in most scenarios.

Does Receiver 1 manage 1 speaker or 2?  Also, may we assume Receiver 1 could connect to a ML/MCL Converter or a small stereo amp to drive passive speakers?

Good question. One would assume that since it is PL out, it would support two BL's provided you have a PL Y-Splitter or a BL with a PL IN/OUT. You should also be able to go to a ML/MCL kit with a fully mounted cable and it should work.

I would not be so sure - I'd rather think that each loudspeaker has to be adressed individually.

In order to do the measurement right, they cant be placed too far from the speakers either.

But that is very important - do we need two of them (double the price), or do they come as a set?

MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I think it would depend on the setup. One receiver would be needed if the BL's are close together and it's stereo. In retrospect you may need 2 receivers however, if you did surround as the transmitter is sending out the dedicated signal from the PL input on the transmitter per channel. Stereo is not the case.

I you look at a standard network (or here powerlink) port, I'd say it is 9 cm x 9 cm and appr. 3 cm high...

I understand that the sender can be an "ugly" box, as it's connected to a TV and can therefore be hidden, but where can you hide this black box (and the power adapter) when you have let's say a Beolab 8000 or 6000?

This should have been a device designed a bit like a LC2, that you can leave on the floor. Also it should have an in-built power supply and a pass through so you can power the speakers through it.

Depends on where you put the Transmitter 1 :)

It could, but it's not meant to be used like that.

It's a wireless Powerlink, not a wireless Masterlink, which means you couldn't use a remote from the other room.

Agree. Now I would need either need two mains cables from the nearest mains socket, and a very short PL cable from receiver to speaker (where I need to hide the receiver)

or

A PL cable and Mains cable from the nearest mains socket where I need to hide the receiver.

Not very convenient.
