I have a BS5 connected to a BC2, the BC2 is the audiomaster. All works well - selecting on the Beo4 N.Radio & N.Music works exactly as expected on the BS5, CD & Radio works as expected on the BC2. However with the advent of Spotify, I cannot get the BS5 to respond to the A.MEM command. Is there a way to do this, perhaps by changing the way the system is configured? How do I get this to work?
Have you checked the settings on the BS5, that Spotify selection is made by pushing AMEM? If not, change it. I have danish language on BS5, and to find Spotify selection a go via "Tilstand -> Roller -> Musiktjenester". Guess english is Settings -> Rolls -> Music services or something similar?
Yes, Spotify is set to AMEM.
I tried setting the BS5 to audiomaster, setting 1. It now reacts to the AMEM press on the Beo4, but there is no sound from the unit, the BC2 still responds to Radio & CD with sound. Is it the Audiomaster Role settings that is causing the problem?
Hi,
B&O have updated the user guide now that the new software has enabled spotify to be used when audio master = no.
This is what it says:-
"If AUDIO MASTER is set to NO, you mustactivate Spotify – provided that you have anaccount – by pressing LIST until N.MUSIC isshown in the Beo4 display and then youmust press 1. To activate A.AUX, press LISTuntil N.MUSIC is shown in Beo4 display andthen press 2."
Hope this helps,
Martin.
I got this to work finally, I set BS5/BM5 to Audiomaster on, option 0 and the BC2 to option 5. It now works flawlessly. I just need to master link the BV7 to complete the setup. I
Yes, should work. But you won`t be able to control your BC2 via ML, because it now acts as a local source...
