Chris Townsend:I've been impressed with how LG seems to have come from virtually nowhere,
In AU they have been around a long time - I would even hazard that I knew of them (or at least their profile was higher) before I had heard of Samsung

B&O, via David Lewis, excelled at making bulky CRT televisions look slim. Now all TV's are slim.
At CES one manufacturer was introducing curves to his flat screens: surely an unnecessary gimmick and something we all had before RF CRT. Everyone will struggle to be different in future, i.e. different with some useful purpose. Resolutions will keep improving and maximum screen sizes will keep going up. Every living room will potentially become a cinema room. B&O needs to focus on the sound systems together with continuing with its silver framed screens like the BV11. Bigger screens won't need the big integrated sound panels of the BV11 though, they'll need to look more like the BV4 at larger sizes.
Maybe there will be an up-market reaction against super large screens and B&O will find that the BV11 style of design was the best choice after all.

I would like to see a Bang & Olufsen projector added to the product selection. While tv panels keep getting larger and larger, there comes a point where a projector is simply more practical. A panel is fine for casual viewing such as watching the news, but a projector with a motorized screen prevents a tv from overwhelming a living room. In the past B&O had recommended Samsung projectors, but projectors seem to have disappeared entirely from the Samsung website.
Lots of different company's made mp3 players that never really took off and seen no marketuntil apple made the I pod which was a better product and easy to use. Surely bang and olufsen could do the same with a projector and set the standard so to speak.
