Seriously, I can't think of anyone else except Leslie who could restore the cosmetics back to original.

The platter, the panels, the buttons, are all shot.

How does someone abuse something like this Crying  ?

It always makes me wonder..

Once that was someone's pride and joy, brand new. The 1st owner would have removed all it's new packaging, it was probably placed near a Beomaster and the new owner enjoyed their new expensive and stylish record player for many years. A little bit of wear and tear, polishing marks on the lid, perhaps a slight chip on the woodwork when it got accidentally knocked before it was sold onto it's 2nd owner. Some time between then and now some idiot had it in their possession only to wreck it completely. I personally would like to punch him between the eyes.

Obviously here, we're a bit more passionate about Bang & Olufsen old and new but I can honestly say that even if I owned a Binatone radio it would be in fairly good nick after 40 years.

The other possible theory is that the Beogram broke and got stuffed in a corner in some workshop with stuff piled on top and knocked about. If that's the case I'd like to punch the repairer between the eyes instead.

If you think nobody cares, try missing a couple of payments.

Perhaps it was hastily thrown in the back of the LootMobile.

Or perhaps the owner died, or got evicted, and the kit was manhandled by a bunch of guys whose only job was to vacate the premises, and they weren't paid by the hour.

Things can happen. Although my knee jerk reaction is to punch somebody as well.

Thanks Menahem, I'll take your thread as a compliment! If seller was living in my area I would have bought it. New dustcover, cleaning and polishing and electronic repair by my tech Ipaul . And he will take care of new belts, caps etc. Working on my Beogram 8000 where this TT needs a lot of refurb, it has a broken hinge dustcover, new aluminium topplate, repair of PCB aux connector. Almost finished.

Check out the condition of this BC9300

I suppose the speakers make it an ok deal, but the unit looks horrible.

Yes, an unwanted gift......

I found this in the garbage, all messed up and smelling bad, and I gave it to you. You didn't want it, but I insisted you take it.

So it was a "gift"    Angry

This world has all types, and they continue to breed.......................
