Hello Solex,

according to your instructions I was finally able to update my remotes to firmware 3.30a.

Described update process is working well.

Thank you!

Also thanks to Erik (ECF) who helped me to figure this out.

Enjoy the new configtool 6.62 including newest firmware 3.30a.

i  cant update to firmware 3.3a.

i tried 6.00.02 with w8/64 and w7/32. after loading the firmware and the config file on the beo6 the config tool crashes.

the beo 6 shows "invalid config" and is dead. then i used 6.62; the beo 6 came back to life, but firmware still is 3.00a.

what can i do better?

Configtool 6.00 doesn't work very well with newer versions of Windows. When you install it on XP it works much better and you will be able to upgrade the firmware to 3.30a. After this you can use Configtool 6.62 on Windows 7, maybe Windows 8. (I haven't tried 8 but it works well on Windows 7)

I did it all on Windows 8.1 on 64 bits. Also config tool 6.00.2 works fine on win8.

But.........if your old config file was made on 32 bits, you must stay on it, or make a new configuration in 6.0.2 in win8 64 bits and after that log in to server to get 3.30a. Message invalid config. file is normal in 6.0.2. Just start 6.62 and you will have 3.30a for sure.

There is at least one issue that wasn't solved with the new ConfigTool update: the fact that a fully-charged remote completely discharges after just one serialization. Where does all this power disappear??

@solex...thank you

@griebel... i think the new config has to learn about the batteries capacity

@ Griebel...This also happened only once (in beginning) after update to 3.30a with my configuration. Therafter no more problems and fully charged battery all the way.

Indeed, I encountered this battery charge problem with all the remotes I've updated to 3.30a. Fortunately it happened only once.
