Hi! I have the Beovox 4700 speakers connected to my Aiwa receiver. As you can guess the sound could be mich better and the receiver turns off randomly and just can't handle the speakers- and i can only have one of them connected! So, what stereo amplifier do you recommend ? I just need an amplifier, not full home theater receiver with 7.1 or network options. Thanks!

I would suggest checking the speakers first. These are getting quite elderly and the cross overs may be faulty. It might be the amplifier if that too is old. The recommended amplifier would be the Beomaster 4000 but it too will need servicing before being reliable.

As Peter suggests, Beomaster 4000 would be ideal, also in my opinion.

Beovox 4700 is a dual-woofer system.
Quite powerful speakers but still with a soft and pleasant sound.
Some have woofers with rubber surrounds, they will still be fine.
Others have the butyl surrounds that crumble and fall apart.
Repairable though, and well worth it if you ask me.

Regarding the crossovers; Unless the speakers were subjected to overloads, only
the capacitors will need renewing. Also well worth doing.

These speakers, actually the whole series 1700/2700/3700/4700/5700, are
getting rare and most found today will have been put away or stored under less than
good conditions.

I think that the speakers are OK but i really need a new amplifier. It is not easy to find a BeoMaster 4000 here in Iceland so i really want to use regular amplifier that can handle both speakers. I will likely buy it off Amazon or something. Thanks :- )
