Hi all, I just wanted to know if the woofer surounds of this speaker are foam or rubber?
Thanx in advance.
Welcome to Beoworld !
Type K are too old to have foam surrounds.

Thanx for your reply, Dillen. So are they rubber then?
Actually, I seem to remember that these are pure cardboard, possibly with the outer (flexible) circumferencecovered in a rubbery súbstance, latex or so. That was the way most speaker producers did it back then.

My tip, thin cardboard with candle wax
Collecting Vintage B&O is not a hobby, its a lifestyle.
Thanx for the replies. What do you guys think, will these last as long as rubber, or do I need to replace the surrounds with rubber rings to make sure they do not wear as foam eventually does. I hope you don't mind me asking, but this type of surrounds is new to me, and I am restoring a pair of type K's. I have always dreamed of owning a pair of these vintage beauties, so I want to make sure I am doing the right thing. I also have another question, the two resistors in the crossover seems fryed, any thoughts on which type I need to replace them with? I can't read the statistics on these resistors anymore.......
Thanx in advance for the help.
