Hi all,

I'm able to buy a gorgeous beogram 1000 recordplayer. Not too expensive and in working order.

However, will I be able to hook it up to a regular phono pre amp and then to an amplifier? Or does it need a specific B&O amp?

kind regards

D

Hi,

the output is the same as any other MM-pickup, so you can use a regular preamp,  but older Beograms (spec. the 1000) have a problem with the speed. The motor has to be cleaned and re-oiled.
