Is it worth while upgrading from beosystem 3 to a 4. At this moment have beosystem 3 with Lab 5 lab9 and centre spk plus bs9000 and beosound 5 plus jvc projector and 100" screen all working great is there any reason to upgrade

If things are working great - I would say: no - and yes!

You really should explore, if the new possibilities of the Sys4 - especially the sound management - 'True Image' - is enough for a change. It - indeed - is a great improvement.

The SmartTV function ('WebMedia')  probably won't be worth it (at least not as it is now). For some people the 'Home Media' is a very nice feature. Spotify - well, you can have Spotify with a much more fluent interface through a iPad/ATV-combo (if you need it on the BV at all). The same goes for Youtube.

The online installing of new PUC-codes is great - everybody agrees on that. And the auto-update function of the system might over time be a game changer - who knows what will be added in the future Smile

BUT - you will have to buy the NL/ML converter for the integration with your BS5 AND you will have to add optional hardware and software to keep your cinema function.

So no concrete advice from me!

Be carefull - don't rush into buying the Sys4. Read what other members (probably) will write in the following postings or elsewhere on the forum.

Greetings MM

There is a tv - and there is a BV
