Hello,
I have been looking for a Beosound 9000 for a while and now I have found one that I want. However, it is far away and the seller does not have the original packaging left.
What do you advice - is it feasible to ship such a delicate item in custom packaging? (I would adk the seller to use loads of bubblewrap etc.
Is there snything else to consider, transport screws etc?
Best regards,
Riven
My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....
Order the original packing from your dealer and send to him.

Absolutely agree with Jonnie.
Unless the seller is VERY experienced in packing, knows B&O and the BS9000 well - and is prepared to spend money on the proper packing materials, I'd send him a box. Anything less than that and I'd say it had a 65% chance of arriving not working, bumped or destroyed.
For something like a BeoSound 9000 it can actually work out cheaper to buy the original box too. Not so with the box for a BeoSound 9000 Floor Stand though, which costs around £55. Yes, £55 for a small amount of cardboard and some polystyrene... and that's trade price. Ridiculous when you think that the box for a pair of BeoLab 6000 is £12.

This is my fear as well - unfortunately I do not have a dealer nearby anymore (but maybe the seller has…)
What would a BS9000 package cost?
