I am moving house and planning the new installation of my sound system. I LOTS of masterlink cable which I have had for a while and would like to use it. I have installed an Ethernet network in the house - cat 5e for data. I was thinking of adding a separate patch panel in the cabinet to connect all the masterlink cables together. It would be a star system with all the cables coming back to the central hub. None of the items will be too far away so the cable runs will only be 30-50 meters max. The equipment I am installing is:

3200

3 x 2000

1 x active box with 4000's

1 x passive box

1 x PC link

appreciate advice - will the patch panel solution work? Do I need to add a switch?

The masterlink distribution box should work perfect. All items connected are done so in parallel so it is just like having once constant run.

I have 4 in my home now.

2 Netlink distribution and 2 masterlink.

Essentially I have 2 Star rooms (one supports 3 passive sand a beomaster 5) the other all supper televisions and link rooms.

The punch down for connection at the termination end is very simple.

Good luck!!!
