Dear Beoworld, long time no see!
I just bought a nice MX 8000 to replace my MX6000 (it started smelling bad and turning et self off).
My new MX8000 has a Masterlink socket on the back, but I can't get it to work. I hooked it up to my BS3000 and tried some different options, but pressing AV-TV on the remote doesn't make the sound come out of the speakers connected to the BS3000. I read somewhere that the MX8000 only has a clock if it has a Masterlink socket, and I can't find the clock in the menu. Is something wrong with the master link in my MX8000?
best regards
Christian
Is there actually a ML module fitted?
As I can remember there is always a ML connector, but that doesn't mean that there is actually one placed.
Like BV6-22 I had the same issue when I bought it years ago.
BTW.
First set the MX8000 in option 2 and the BS3000 in option 0! (thought you probably done this already) when thay are in standby.
Check again if the BS3000 reacts on audio commands.
Otherwise check your servicemenu in the MX8000.
Hi
Thank you very much. It sure seems like it does not have a Masterlink module fitted... too bad., But fortunately it was cheap, only 130 euros with motor stand and a mint Beo4.
