Thought you might be interested in this email that I received from customer support about the problem concerning covers
We are am pleased to inform you that we have released new software for BeoSound 5 - version 7.02.01 - solving the issue with covers missing for ripped CDs. We apologise for the inconvenience you have experienced. Kind regards, Ina Bang Andersen (Ms) | Customer Service
Hi
With some excitement I downloaded the latest software to rectify the problem of CD artwork not appearing....
With the latest software CDs on my system won't rip AT ALL now!!! It simply says 'WORKING' and will not rip the CD, nor bring up any artwork. Ive tried several CDs and get the same result each time!
Not terribly happy.... Am i doing something wrong??

I see what you mean. Since then I have turned the 'auto-rip' off and then on again in settings and I have inserted the CD when the system is in standby mode. It all seems fine - rips with covers and info. But all this may be wishful thinking on my part. May need another e-mail to Customer Services!
Ive spent the weekend, resetting, turning on and off and changing settings.. auto rip on/off etc... Appears to be working now.... though sometimes it will let me choose art work, other times it wont.
I do have other issues re incorrect artist name etc.. but 'Ill start a new post on that!

Hello beoocd, thanks for the advice.
But I tried, and the download always stays at 0%. What's happening?
Hi Edo
Now I am no expert here, however my experience when updating the software on the Beosound 5 is that it usually stays at '0%' for several minutes before completing the download. My advice is to just leave it - although I may be wrong here!
good luck
thanks, but i tried more times to upsate the firmware. The BS5 stayed at 0% for hours.....
