Hi guys,
i'm interested in buying beosound 5 and beolab 9 but i'm scared that i can't connect my tv to the Beomaster 5/beosound!! I have a pioneer 43" that has an audio output with RCA (you know the two red and white cables). What are the inputs in the beosound/beomaster 5? what can i connect there?
And i have another question... can i connect a smartphone (android or apple) to the beosound? in anyway... i don't mind how or a usb drive?
You can connect devices via USB/AAUX on BS5. This little kit, among others, will do the trick for you. Behringer You can connect a Playmaker for Airplay it the same way.
The link doesn't work :( ... but isn't there a way to connect things without buying other stuff? i mean .. when i'll buy it what can i connect to it?

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Sorry about the bad link. It is know as the Behringer UCA 202. Several versions on Amazon at $30 US. And yes, syncing video through BM5 equals bad mojo.
ok thanks for this.
But what can i use the usb sockets for? i mean.. what devices can i connect to it? for example can i connect an usb drive? or an 2,5 " hdd or something like that or even an ipod? and is there anyway to stream music to the BS5 with Bluetooth?
Thanks for the answers guys !
Anything that the RCA connections on a Behringer UCA (or equal) can be used for!
So - iPod: yes - streaming device (Bluetooth receiver, AirPort Express, Playmaker..): yes.
Or a cd-rip drive direct to the USB.
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
okok thanks !! but everything passing from the behringer right? not directly connected to the BM5 ?
The Behringer is an external usb soundcard. (One end: USB - the other end: RCA-in connection.)
Plugged into the usb-port of the BM5 it can be used for connecting (or rather digitizing) external analog sound sources - such as the analog output of a wireless (wifi or bluetooth) audio receiver.
You could even connect a cd-player (the analog output of it) or a turntable to it, to get the sound through the speakers connected to the BM5.
It appears as 'A.AUX'' on the BS5.
The cd-rip drive is connected as you normally would connect it to a pc/mac - (you can buy a special B&O-ripper, that can be mounted behind the BS5).
Thanks man !!!!
Thanks for the perfect explanation !!!!
I think i'll buy the behringer this way with 30 $ i can have many others devices connected to my BM5 and conseguetly to my BL9.
Thanks a lot!!!!!
It works just perfect, I use mine for Apple Airplay (with Airport Express).
I tried to connect my TV to the USB device, but the delay in the sound was too much compared to the speaker in the TV.
Actually, I wonder why.
Hi, I have the same problem (delayed sound) and you wrote on this question that an active kit and PC input adapter is needed. Have you suggestions how to do so or where to buy such things?
Thanks
