That won't work.
How about connecting an AirPlay receiver to the A-Aux of the BC2 and stream Spotify to it?
Alternatively a Bluetooth receiver (if you aren't into Apple).
That would be a small piece of almost 'unvisible equipment'.
By the way - welcome to BeoWorld.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Connections to the A-Aux/BC2 can be controlled via BeoLink app, but what you send to the connected device, you will have to manage via the Spotify app.
You can't manage Spotify through MLGW/BeoLink app.
And no MOTS without the BS5.
The real problem is that it is not in the hands of B&O to do this.
How Spotify may be used on different devices is strickt regulated by Spotify..
I would not speculate on a 'christmas gift from B&O'.
Anyway the BS/BM5-MLGW/BeoLink app combo is great.
But do remember that you will have to configure the MLGW for your own needs - and the MLGW is quite expensive too.
Maybe you should wait a month or so, untill the BeoSound Essence arrives in the shops.
What is interesting, is the 'hide-away box' - and the app (BeoMusic) that will be launched then.
Maybe then some new possiibilities will show up.
lonfred:Hi I am a bit interested to buy and connect a Beomaster 5 to my existing masterlink network and MLGW. Will Spotify work on beolink app without Beosound 5? And will Spotify also be displayed on the beovision screen connected to the Beomaster 5?(in this case a BV-10-46 MKII) I like the look of the Beosound 5 but I alreaddy had a good working BC2 in the mainroom and no space for more visual equipment and I dont wont to brake up the walls to hide the cables of a Besound 5. Perhaps someone know if it will work? Thank you in advance!
