Hi

I wonder if this tv worths it? I have a bv 7 40 mk3 upgraded to the last software and I am satisifed by the picture quality, specially when the source is full hd.

I didn't notice the problem of poor blacks mentioned by moxxey.

I am afraid to loose the beosystem 3 specifications and the positiv effects of the beolab 7.2 compared to the central speaker of the bv 10.

The look of the bv 10 specially wall mounted interest me.

If you want straight forward connectivity to an existing Masterlink system go for the BV10 rather than BV11. But you have to recognise that the sound system will not be as good when the TV is used only with its own speakers.

I have no regrets about going for a BV11, but it did complicate using previous link room TVs, Beocenter 2, etc etc.

Thanks Graham for your answer.

Finally I even don't know if a bv11 is compatible with a masterlink set up.

My 7 40 is the center of my installation and I use a mlgw too.

The tv should absoluty dialogue with the rest of the installation.

The main function I appreciate is the possibility to control my bm5 through the bv without power on the screen.

I traded in a 7-40 Mk3 for a 10-46. The picture is much better than on the 7, and in some ways even better than my 11.

A flatscreen Tv and its speakers are always going to be a compromise though, and you will really notice this on the 10, if you currently use the 7-2.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Thanks chris for sharing your opinion.

Well, for me the main problem is that I am very satisfied by my beolab 7.2 and I dońt know if I will sell my actual bv a good price.

Though question.

Size wise, the difference is not that important. I just whent from a 40" (bv10) to a 46" (bv11) and it´s like I haven't changed tv.

The gap was important from a 32" to 40".

Sound wise, you have a better speaker on bv7 so you will downgrade on tv alone. Even if I liked the sound of my bv10, no comparaison with bv7.

Picture quality, if your happy with bv7 why change ? Surely the picture will be brighter on bv10 with flashy colors but clouds and bleeds with dark scenes in dark room.

3500 € is a good buying price if the set is in perfect condition.

I second Chris on bv11 picture quality, I sometimes prefer the more natural bv10 .

Thanks foryour answer beogreg

I am surprised that sometimes you miss your bv 10 with all the problems you had with it (I read your post about them).

I have noticed that the picture of the last led tv (I have one also) is rather artificial and lack of natural.

I would also agree that the BV11 has a very crisp, sharp and bright image. It is an upgrade over the my old (2011) BV10, but only just. A more modern BV10 (like my 2013 BV10-32) could have a better image, as it uses the same panel as a BV11, but with a different picture processor.

My dealer offered me a BV7-55 MK2 last week, still waiting for him to come back to me with an upgrade price from my BV11. If it's a good deal, I'll shift to the BV7-55 MK2. Much better audio, too!

Hi Chris,

I thought you didn't have the space for such a large tv? I have just bought the 7-55 Mark 1, very happy.

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.
