I've been in the process of locating some Beovox S45s, and have found that some seem to have a yellow/whiteish look on the rubber sub surrounds. Is this normal aging? Or does it denote abuse or a replaced sub? Thanks.
If it's normal, what's the best way to clean them up?
Upload a picture - it's difficult to state their condition without any visual bearing.

Vinyl records, cassettes, open reel, valve amplifiers and film photography.
Yes, mine were like that too. Not a sign of bad treatment at all, no.
Soap and water restored the rubber original aspect but be careful not to damp the cone!
Then a bit of linseed oil finished off the job nicely.

It's most likely just factory powder. That's quite common.A little dust mixed in, perhaps.Just leave it there.
