Projector out?
Also if 4k...then I'm in maybe???
Any one have a little more info?
Now - any more wishes for the 'new tv'?

There is a tv - and there is a BV

I know nothing of this set of which you all speak, but why would anyone want a TV to distribute HD video?
the world has changed, and HD distribution via a matrix is kind of cool, but why from a TV.
Digital content has killed the need to send the picture from the VHS tape to the bedroom.
"Distribution of HD video and Digital audio around the house''
They would - if they could, or rather if they were allowed to.
And..... Rednik has a point there!
With the way things are going I don't see the point of having a built in source in a tv anymore , all you need is wifi and maybe bluetooth to connect to various 3rd party devices. Looks like bno are going that way = all wifi
Does anyone buy physical discs anymore ?
Flappo: Does anyone buy physical discs anymore ?
I still do, if it's music that's unavailable online, or movies I want to add to the permanent collection. Usually such movies I get are more niche market or special directors cuts, and I can't rely on them ever or always being available to rent the disc or stream. Fewer and fewer things meet that criteria lately though.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
I too still buy CD's. When I like the music I need to "own" it physically. The streaming is fine and all, but you do not get the same feeling as when you place the disc in the BeoCenter it starts spinning and your favorite tunes fill the room. It is a great shame that retail CD's soon are almost gone.
Back on topic: I am very anxious to see this new flagship TV from B&O. The rotating speaker sounds awesome! I personally would prefer OLED instead of 4K! But 55" as the smallest screen ... I need to get a house then...
BeoVision Eclipse 55, BeoPlay S8 (sub+rears), BeoPlay A9 MKII (living room), BeoVision Avant 32 DVD (retro gaming, basement), BeoLab 4000 (entertainment room, basement), BeoSound 8 (workshop), 2x BeoPlay S3 (PC), BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay H2/H3 (on the go)

I do, and it's damn Moxxeys fault.
Since buying the BL18s, I've even gone back to buying CD's :)
There's a report in the a Times today saying retailers are going to drop shelf space for DVDs. Market down £1 billion! Problem is, movie audio quality via streaming is not a patch on Blu-ray and is half the reason for your cinematic experience. The market around us is killing the justification for buying B&O! A lot of non-B&O users I talk to state the difference between a regular TV and a B&O is the audio experience.
Back to the V100 - my dealer says the price still hasn't been concluded, but it will sit well above the BV11. Audio won't be BV7 level (BL7.2), which will be a shame for a top-end B&O. Definitely 4K.

And spelling the end of the BV12, which is no longer in production apparently which is a shame although not surprising given panasonic a withdrawal from plasma
I can't tell much difference between an itunes hd d/l and a blu ray , in fact of the blu ray's i've got at least half are pretty poor pq wise imo.
It's the source and mastering that matters not the format to a certain degree

You mean the uncompressed DTS HD audio from a Blu-ray compared to the basic Dolby Digital on a download? LOL.
There's a huge reason why a Blu-ray contains about 35GB of data, whilst a downloadable iTunes "HD" movie is 4GB.
If you listen to a Blu-ray on a BV7 with BL9s, there's a hell of a difference. Huge.
Flappo you do say some funny things.
I was referring to the PQ - picture quality
The sounds not that important to me , as long as i can hear them talk and the odd explosion that's enough fer me
My brother has a cambridge audio that he plays all kind of weird dvd-a and sa-cd's on through his OTT yamaha / monitor audio set up , too many wires for me thx lol , it sounds amazing , i just don't really care THAT much sorry matey boy :D
Ease of use , good design , reliability , build quality and picture quality are what I look for in a TV , I can always add some speakers at a later date I guess if I need to.
On another note when they took my avant in part exchange for the bv11 we asked what were they doing with the avant ? we presumed they'd sell it on or make some good use of it ??
NO
They were going to put it on a skip
I almost cried....
What a dreadful waste, when you consider the amount of care homes you could pop these into etc. I know it's just a collection of plastic and metal parts, but..............

Nice idea, but it's 2014. No care home, or charity shop will take them, and no dealer would risk donating them even if they would.
it won't happen, but imagine the 10 year old Avant that has had the plug replaced and has 10 years of dust inside it causes a fire? It won't, but that's the crappy world we live in where no one would take the risk even if they were legally allowed to.
It's a sad state of affairs but true. When we bought our BV7 the B&O dealer wouldn't take our Avant in part exchange as he said they literally couldn't give them away. As a result, we decided to hang onto it.
Of course, we subsequently did our own bit of recycling by selling the BV7 and going back to the Avant but that's not the point here!
Stonk: Millemissen: Whoever brought the 'Avant' into this game - and why? MM I guess because it was probably one of the best TV ever invented. It stood out by miles compared to any competitor. Looks, picture, sound & user experience - everything a B&O TV should have.

Delete the words "probably' and 'one'...
I'll take a Full HD Avant with multiple HDMis!!

Bv7Mk3:If this new tv is 4k.
Yes, it's 4K. Definitely.
Now all we need is something apart from netflix to watch on it
Don't hold your breath
