BV10 + BL6000

Is there a worthwhile improvement in sound quality if Beolab 6000s (and or Beolab11) are added to a Beovision 10-32.

I do have the 6000 + BL11 connected to my BV11. Sound is better even I've the BV11 speakers are extremely good. But the additional Speakers allow you to have the front surround

i have beolab 8000 and belolab12 ( rear) and use speakers of my beovision 10 as centerspeaker.

When watching surround movies real surround sound. Stereo from beosound 8000 much better as from beovision10.

With it being so thin, the speaker of the BeoVision 10 is pretty unimpressive. I have a pair of BeoLab 6000s with my BeoVision 10 as the front channels and BeoLab 4000s as the rear channels. I've never been a big fan of the BeoLab 6000s other than the versatility and clean look of their placement. However, adding a BeoLab 11 GREATLY improved the sound from the BeoLab 6000s. I suppose that the addition of a subwoofer took some of the "heavy lifting" off of the 6000 speakers so that they could focus more on the treble and midrange. The BeoLab 11 doesn't really add much to the "booms" and explosion effects in movies. Rather, it adds depth to the sound of the BeoLab 6000s. I doubt, however, that a BeoLab 11 would add much to the BeoLab 8000 speakers, but it adds new life to the BeoLab 6000s.

Normally in 'stereo' you would not hear anything from the center speaker (the internal BV10 speaker).

It is no question - a set of (even) BL6000 will be an upgrade to the sound listening to music.

And for tv/movies the 'sound image' is much broader, and still you have the dialogs, where they are supposed to be: in the enter.

And - by the way - adding a set of BL6000 might be the first step towards a full surround setup.

Get another set and place them in the back of your room as rear speakers.

Or you could spend the first money on a sub (BL11) if your preference is music listening.

I currently use Quad electrostatics driven by Meridian (sometimes Quad valves) to enhance the audio. The BL6000s are still of interest from an aesthetic point of view and automatic switching for day to day use.  I must say that the BV10 speakers are still v good when the others are switched off.

In which case, I am rather surprised you are considering the Bl 6000s. Sonically they don't compare in any way to the Quads, particularly with the amplification you mention. The only product in the B&O range that does is the Beolab 5.

Having said that, they are a better aesthetic match, but once you lived with Quads it is difficult to appreciate other, lesser speakers.
