Hi!

I just disconnecte my old LX from 89 and replaced it with a crt from 92. One reason for this was that I was so tired of fiddling with the remote because it always, or almost always, skips two steps whatever I do, be it the menu for the DVD or the sound settings, or whatever. This just got worse; not only are the blue and pink tint in the upper and lower corners of the left sode of the screen still there on the "new" tv, but every single command skips two steps, however lightly I touch the buttons. This goes for the 1000 remote as well as for the 4. The arrow buttons, the menu, the GO button; they all skip two steps. The thing is, it worked ok for the first minutes, and then something happened. Please, this is so weird. Is this just me? Why is the exact same thing happening to two different sets? I should mention that I also have 7000 system hooked up to the TV.

This is because the TV has the wrong option settings.

Are all the speakers connected to the TV? Or some speakers are connected to the audio system as well?

Agree - you have the remote working through two receivers - how do you use the system? Do you use the audio speakers with the TV?

Yes, that's right; I have a pair of Penta MKII plugged into the amp.

In that case, set the TV to option 0 and the audio to option 2. To do so, use the Beolink 1000, the best remote ever, and press:

For the TV, with the set in stand by, Picture, 0, Store.

For the Audio, with it in stand by, Sound, 2, Store.

Let us know how you get on.

Which TV have you gone for?

I used to have the same set up but now use a BV5 and BC2. The Beosystem 7000 was better but no DAB.

Set the TV to V opt 1 and the audio system to A opt 1 as well.

Lost the picture now. The screen is black, no menu, nothing, but the sound is there.

The picture is gone; I get sound, but the TV doesn't turn, and shows no picture. I used the BL1000 for the picture 0 and sound 2 maneuvre, but this can't be related now, can it? It started with the screen going blank whenever I changed channel, but when I rebooted the TV and setbox, it came back. A cumbersome procedure, but now it's gone west, apparently. Any ideas?

The Picture 0 store is done with the TV in standby. Did you do it with the TV on? If so press picture 1or picture play  with the set on. Have you downloaded the manual?

Yes, I used the Beolink 1000 to set pic 0 store and sound 2 store, in standby. I have the manual.
