Need help please,
Fitted new belts to tape deck, three in all. Now tape deck not working motor spinning nice but no mechanical noises engaging

Are you sure, you have the belts on correctly ?All plugs etc. connected ?Are the capstans rotating in opposite directions ?

Many thanks for your reply. You are quite right, I forgot to attach the large band to the white plastic hub under the brass drive wheel.
All working now.
