MartinW:The difference is.........(drum roll).........the speaker fret now attaches with a magnet, not a clip 😊
So , I've got the latest version WOOHOO !
Magnets. Live the dream Flappo
DGRouge:Just noticed that the most recent b&o price list (March 2014) refers to the bv11 in a MKIII version. I guess the MKII included the wireless sound transmitter - any ideas on what news the MKIII brings?
Although this isn't the MKIII, my dealer just said "wait a few months" when we were discussing the possibility of 'upgrading' from my BV11-46 to a BV7-55, over the weekend.
There's a chance that we might get a 4K BV11 in the near future as a) most recent panels are now 4K and b) the forthcoming new TV will set a new standard which will need to migrate to the other TVs in the range.
Your dealer is a nice guy
I think you are right with your a) and b).
The 'new BV" (V100?) is aupposed to start with a 55" version - the'll probably use the same panel for the BV11-55 MK3 as well.
The future is bright!
MM
There is a tv - and there is a BV
Might this be a possible future panel for the new V100 and BV12NG?

Well, the snag there is that B&O traditionally uses 'tried and tested' panels which have been on the market for a year. It would be a complete business model reversal for B&O to release a new TV with bleeding-edge technology (such as forthcoming panels!). Remember that B&O test their products for months before launch.
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
4K glass then
And 8k for the rest of the tv...
Bv12 NG is dead. Never to be seen again
Well , that didn't last long
Wow, so it barely even existed. Didn't it launch in spring 2012? A real shame that plasma panels disappears everywhere.
Let's hope the V100 (which I assume is the new B&O king of TV) is better and lasts longer

No, about last Autumn 2013! That's the NG we're talking about here.
My dealer's BV12NG never even arrived. They had a 'coming soon' poster on the wall for about six months, after they sold the previous generation demonstration BV12.
I don't think it will be missed. I liked it's form on a stand, and surely that should be a template for future UHD panels whenever they arrive.
With HMS 7-55 about to be launched in our house, I hope it's a flop :-)
