Real dilemma over upgrading. Better chips. Better operating system. But memory now built in and not a separate SD card which was a great advantage of the T2.
Physical appearance very similar.
Double the price.
Maybe an easy decision if you haven't got a T2. If you have got a T2 then it's a bit like upgrading from BV10 to BV11 or Avant just because they have come out rather than having a need to do it.

Thanks for the pictures! Looks beautiful. I want one. Have to decide if am willing to get by with only 2G as it does not look like it will work with 3g or LTE in the USA. Also, would have to give up using iMessage which I like very much.

Give your head a shake - your current phone is good for years to come - the only reason you'll change is if you're a phone fashionista!
Ban boring signatures!
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

As the phones are physically identical in looks, being a fashionista hardly comes into it!
The T2 is a very adequate phone, and the only criticisms on the various Beoworld threads were of it being single core and not having enough bass. Also a duff battery in one case. Like the headphone debate, the bass can be modified with the right App on the phone. And should you be concerned about operations taking one second rather than two?
But you are right, Puncher, the phone is good for years to come.
The T2 was old when it came out, and is more than one generation behind the T2 HD. Everything about it internally has changed for the better.
As a very simple experiment, i put my wives iPhone 5S and the T2 HD next to each other. They were both on the same wifi network, and logged in identically to the same apps. As a very basic experiment i opened a number of popular apps(Facebook, RAC, Sky News) I can honestly say that as a race it was a draw. The 5S had every right to win this, and comfortably! On a dog walk in the middle of nowhere i got a download speed of 3.2 mbs.
I will try it in Newcastle next week where there is 4G
Chris,
Try your H6 headphones on the T2HD. I have just tried mine for the first time on the 'Old before its time' T2 and the output is tremendous! (Radio Paradise, 128 mp3 with Equalizer App).
I did, and thought it was ok. I'll try again tommorow as I'm back to single father mode again Getting some good remarks at work about its quality, especially it's camera.
I just got a lot of distortion with the H6's on Spotify. I thought i'd try the FM radio for a laugh, and it's brilliant. The sound is far richer than Spotify and i could reduce the volume by 25%.
Gennaro:Hi Chris, Is it true that it also serves as a B&O remote? Have you tested it? Wondering if it'll control my V1..?

If it's like the T2 it will work as a remote for B&O. It also lets you run through programme/menu choices by waving it up and down, but it is not 100% reliable and you can waste a lot of time not quite getting to what you want to select. I treat the T2 as an extra remote for occasional use only!
I have just spent an hour or so trying to get it to work my Beolit 12, to no success. If it was me, i'd forget the dual speakers and IR blaster and get B&O to integrate more sound options and make it powerful enough to negate the need for an extra amplifier.
Its a cool phone though. Much more handy than the HTC One M8 i was using. I read about the specs being not up to the 5S or S5, but in the real world it hasn't made any noticeable difference. The HTC had better reception than any phone i have ever owned, and this is an area i would like to see them concentrate at being the best. "Who's got a Lumigon" should be the natural cry when everyone cannot receive a signal.
Chris, thanks a lot for all the information that you posted on Lumigon t2 hd here. I've been checking on the web but it appears that the interest in this phone is very limited. I like the design though. And also the features. However I would really like to find out if anyone was able to control B&O devices with this phone? If not then I would say the advertising is a bit.. Well misleading. Are you happy with the built quality of the phone? How does it compares to the iPhone 5s? Thanks again!
If Lumigon representatives are reading this forum (which IMO they should be doing) - could you please confirm regarding the ability to control B&O devices? Could you please also confirm is the discounts mentioned earlier in this thread are real? Thanks in advance!
Welcome to Beoworld!
My Lumigon T2 came ready programmed to work a B&O TV, but as indicated above it is not 100 % reliable and there is often a delay in the TV responding.
The phone has a learning remote function and can be programmed from other remotes to control various devices.
I was offered a discount on a T2HD but I decided that the original T2 was more than adequate for my present purposes.
You should be able to find and read the T2 manual on the Lumigon website.
Thanks everyone
Perhaps the t2 hd is different since It didn't seem to work for Chris.
In any case this is not a showstopper, most probably I would also use the normal remote controls anyway.
I haven't used android for years, hope it got better :) I don't like the new iPhones so Lumigon is the one I'm looking at for my next phone.
I think latest versions of android suck less and then again the iOS has been increasingly buggy. By now it's probably a draw. As for work then i still (after years of using tablets) prefer laptops. iPhone 6, I read an article which says that due to full metal construction (normal strength signal is too weak) it emits a much stronger. Try to keep it away from your body if possible :)
BTW, Chris, did DLNA work fine for you with B&O and Lumigon?
These are the specs
This is the Ice powered equaliser. Again very effective.
