Doors on my beosound 3000 open automatically but very rarely close now ,i know its old unit but its still very good ,is there a quick fix to solve this problem? my buddy is building house next to me and its very dusty now and i think maybe its clogged but i dont know how to remove doors and clean and lubricate (if this is the case) thanks to anyone with the time to reply !!
If you open the doors and then disconnect the power cable, the doors should remain open allowing you to clean the tracks of dust - or at least see if they are dirty. If you really need to remove the doors, in the same position, you pull the bottom of the door and then the top of the door (take care not to scratch the CD mechanism or display).
It is possible that the cable operating the doors may need adjustment (this involves removing the back and you need the service manual for instructions on this - available to Silver and Gold members here on Beoworld). There are various door adjustments that can be made such as alignment but involve removing the back cover - all in the service manual.
Hopefully, it is just a dust issue. If you have an air compressor, you can try gently blowing dust off (this also helps keep sensors clean).
Welcome to Beoworld by the way.
Dave.

For removing the doors, it the same procedure as described first. Open the doors, unplug, but then pull the doors on the outerside towards yourself.
Do it quickly with the appropriate amount of force. That's the correct way to do.
Thanks very much dave, have just stripped off doors and cleaned everything, its working great now!! its been on my mind now for around 4wks and im so happy its working again . again thanks.

I bought mine on German eBay (I used to live in Germany)
Here's one:https://www.ebay.de/itm/Riemen-Belt-f-Glass-Door-B-O-BeoSound-3000-MK2-Anlage-Glasturmechanismus-Rubber/273499549443?hash=item3fadd7ef03:g:buMAAOSw5cNYGHfB
I am not sure if forum member Dillen can supply them - maybe worth sending him a PM.
Hope you can get your BS 3000 doors working smoothly again.
The BS Ouverture/2500/300/3200 bring so much musical and magical joy, never tire of them.
