Hello Beoworlders,

My Beocenter 9000 was in bad condition, after nearly 30 years of loyal service...

... so I decided to service it.

CD door became noisy, then stopped moving.

Thanks to blackreel.de, a set of new belts for doors solved the problem. Both doors move smoothly and silently.

CD player did not play anymore.

Thanks to Dillen who solved the problem with a new set of capacitors. Now, CD are back in town.

The glass panels were loose and the service arm has been lost by an uncareful tech.

Thanks  to Leslie, who found a new arm and gave me precious informations on how to clean the panels assemblies and how to put them back in place.

The tape player has a strange behaviour.

First I thought it was the belt, and thanks again to Dillen who supplied me with a new one and very clear step-by-step instructions.

Unfortunately the belt was not faulty and problem remains.

Any help or clue would be greatly appreciated :)

The tape deck plays OK in both ways.

For recording, the "pulling" wheel does not turn, the "pushing" one seems to turn.
